Arc-en-Ciel International School is a private school in Lomé offering quality education in French and English from Kindergarten to High School as well as boarding facilities. It is an accredited IB (International Baccalaureate) World School authorised to deliver the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) in French and English. The school is a Candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at primary and kindergarden levels.

Its Mission: "Develop leaders able to serve and improve the world". To achieve this goal, we develop their intellectual and moral capacities to become agents of development in their community.

Language of tuition

Strong language development is highly valued at Arc-en-Ciel International School. Students can be enrolled in either French or English as their language of tuition (Language A). Although self-contained,  there is considerable interaction with students of the corresponding programme at recreation, specific collaborative projects and school events.

Language B

Language B is the second language studied by students: French, English or Spanish.  A second language is taught to all students from the age of 3 years. Differentiated lessons
are offered in order to optimise students’ progress.

Mother Tongue classes

As an International School, Arc-en-Ciel wishes to support students in maintaining and developing their mother tongue. Currently, Hindi, Arabic and Chinese classes are available to students.

Language Support

For students studying in the language which is not their mother tongue, extra language support is available. Where students have need of extra language support this may be provided by additional tutorials, pull-out sessions, or in-class support. The school’s Language Policy provides more details on all aspects of language development and provision.
