The program of the Primary school Arc-en-ciel aims to develop students so they can live and serve in a global world.

The Primary School campus is a spacious environment offering students of the French Programme and The Green School (English Programme) a rich learning environment in the heart of Lomé. The Primary Campus accommodates about 150 students aged 6 to 11years; CP to CM2 in the French Programme, Grade 2 to 5 in the Green School (English Programme). The two programmes are self-contained but run alongside each other with various shared activities throughout the school year.

Arc-en-Ciel International School is the onlyschool in Togo officially authorised to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB)  Primary Years Programme (PYP), havinf received accreditadion in 2016. Units of Inquiry are an integral aspect of the PYP. Each year students undertake 6 Units of Inquiry that enable them to delve deeply into subjects and explore the world around them.  Whilst these units are delivered across the traditional subject lines, a strong emphasis on core literacy and numeracy skills is maintained throughout the primary years.

Underpinning the IB programme is the Learner Profile. The IB learner profile is consciously value-laden, for this kind of learning is what the IB supports, and is the embodiment of the IB’s philosophy of international education. Arc-en-Ciel International School set aside time each week to address aspects related to the LearnerProfile, as well as PYP skills and attitudes, in their Global Citizenship programme.
The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. The three campus’ of Arc-en-Ciel International School are located in the Kodjoviakopé quartier, not far from the city centre of Lomé, the capital of Togo. The three campuses are located close to each other (see Google Map below). It is possible to travel easily between the three campuses and is convenient for parents who have children at two more of the sites.
