Accreditation
An IB school must be exemplary in terms of educational standards and organization.
The process of accreditation allows the IB to ensure high quality standards are maintained in all IB World Schools at all levels. Such measures ensure that graduates from IB World Schools have access to the best universities in the world.
Arc-en-ciel International School is currently the first and only francophone school in West Africa, and the only bilingual school in the continent, to have received the official authorizations to teach the International Baccalaureate program at all levels: for high school in 1999, for middle school in 2013 and for kindergarten and primary school in 2016. This makes of Arc-en-ciel an "IB World School".
Since 2024, Arc-en-Ciel International School became a AEFE partner school, having also been accredited for the french program at the kindergarden and primary levels.

An IB school must be exemplary in terms of educational standards and organization. Thus, the International Baccalaureate Organization (www.ibo.org) regularly visits our school and analyzes the intensive self-assessment process that we undertake.
The self-assessment is based on criteria relating to a wide range of areas including:
o philosophy of the school
o objectives
o organization
o its teaching programs
o its educational standards
o extracurricular activities
o the level of service and safety
o professional development
o the development of programs
o educational guidance
o and evaluation of student learning
Following visits by the IBO, the accreditation team make a report and recommendations in order to make continual improvements to the school.
